Because Andhra Pradesh has some of the most offbeat ancient destinations ruins that you can think of.

Warangal
This place is famous for the colossal hillock,
that is supposedly carved out of a single stone,
rich flora and fauna,
and beautiful lakes and is located 144 kilometers away from Hyderabad.

- Thousand Pillars Temple – This 800-year-old temple has attractive rock carvings and richly decorated pillars.
- Warangal Fort –With ruins spreading out over a wide area, this fort is filled with works of stone and intricate sculptures.
- Pakhal Lake – Dense forests and lush green hills surround this gorgeous artificial lake.

Mahbubnagar
was known as Palamoor,
as the the people here used to make a living selling milk in the olden times.
The glittering Tungabhadra river adorns it and for history lovers,
this offbeat place is a dream come true.
Mahbubnagar is 140 kilometers away from Hyderabad.

- Pillalamarri Banyan Tree –Standing its ground for over seven centuries, this tree is an ever-growing maze of green and brown.
- Alampur – This temple-town is the meeting point of the rivers Krishna and Tungabhadra.
- Mallela Theertham Waterfall –From a height of 150 meters, the water crashes on to natural rock formations that resemble Shiva Lingas.

This city was formerly inhabited,
by the Vijayanagar kings and preserves its

and culture to this day.
Situated 212 kilometers away from Hyderabad,
this is well-worth exploring for history buffs.
Set out for
- Kurnool Fort – Located in the heart of Kurnool, this fort offers a panoramic view of the entire city from its top.
- Venkanna Bavi Temple – The view from the top is worth the arduous climb. Make sure you take a small picnic hamper with you.
- Nallawala Forest – The thick forest cover is home to spotted deer, porcupines, neelghai, and sambar.
