We asked our fans to post a memorable pic from a memorable trip. And we selected Jaini Shah’s photo from her trip to Sikkim! Here is Jaini’s recounting of her wonderful Sikkim trip with her friends!
I may not be a zealous traveler, but, like everyone else, I do like to head out for a quick getaway from time to time. I have been on quite a few trips in and around Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. I have explored only one state in the South.
The picture that helped me ace this photo contest was clicked when I visited beautiful, beautiful Sikkim. I took this picture while going from Hanuman Tok in Gangtok to Tsmogo Lake. Most of the pictures that I took in Sikkim were on the go, because when you are in Sikkim, you just cannot afford to miss a single scene.
What Made This Trip So Special?
The entire trip to Sikkim was filled with so many unforgettable moments that it is hard to pick just one. So, to do justice to the trip, I would prefer to share some of the most special moments that made this trip one of a kind.
The very first thing which made this trip different from the rest was that it was my first trip with my childhood friends – Jill Gangar and Dhwani Gala. And as you already know, you tend to form stronger bonds with the people you travel. After this trip, our friendship definitely grew better and stronger.
The beauty of Sikkim left me spellbound. Even if I tried, I probably would fall short of describing its sheer magnificence in words. If they say Kerala is God’s Own Country, then Sikkim is nothing short of Heaven. There were so many pictures from this place that I had a hard time choosing just one! Each day, Sikkim had a new pleasant surprise in store for us!
Friendly Faces and Flavorsome Food
The beauty of a place is doubled when the locals are affectionate. The brand new experience of connecting with the locals and getting to learn more about a new culture has its own charm. Almost everyone has their own farm and being a nutritionist, I could not have asked for more than delicious, fresh farm food. Also, there were so many fresh potatoes that the potato lover in me just came alive!
This wonderful trip to Sikkim was personally planned for us by our very own Trippin Traveller! This trip couldn’t have been as amazing as it was without them.
This is probably the reason that is closest to my heart – this was my very first trip taken at my own expense. This was what made me discover my love for traveling and now, I have a really long bucket list!
Well, this is it! While typing this out, I almost revisited the place along with the amazing memories in my head. This trip has really been one of a kind, and I hope to take a lot more trips like this! Thank you, Trippin Traveller, for making our trip awesome and giving me an opportunity to share my story!0
